First in Service is proud to have been ranked 31st in England's Top 50 SME Apprenticeship Employers, recognising our commitment to developing future talent through high-quality apprenticeship programmes.

The prestigious national rankings celebrate small and medium-sized businesses that are leading the way in delivering high-quality apprenticeships. Led by the Department for Education and Higherin Apprenticeships, the awards recognise employers that are committed to providing exceptional apprenticeship opportunities and supporting apprentices to learn, develop and thrive.

Employers are assessed across three key areas:

Achievements – recognising employers whose apprentices successfully complete their programmes.

Commitment – recognising businesses that provide a diverse range of apprenticeship opportunities, particularly for young people.

Reviews – recognising employers that deliver an outstanding apprentice experience.

Being recognised among England's top apprenticeship employers reflects the investment we've made in developing people and creating meaningful career opportunities across our business.

Investing in Future Talent

At First in Service, we believe that developing people is one of the best investments we can make.

Our apprenticeship programme gives individuals the opportunity to gain recognised qualifications while building valuable real-world experience across a range of departments, including engineering, finance, marketing and business support.

By combining structured learning with practical experience, apprentices develop the skills, confidence and knowledge needed to build successful long-term careers.

A Team Effort

This achievement wouldn't be possible without the dedication of our apprentices, mentors, managers and colleagues who invest their time in supporting learning and development every day.

It reflects the culture we've worked hard to build at First in Service - one that encourages people to learn, grow and develop throughout their careers.

Kevin Fletcher, Managing Director at First in Service, said:

"We're incredibly proud to be recognised as one of England's Top 50 SME Apprenticeship Employers. Developing people has always been central to our business, and this recognition reflects the commitment of our mentors, managers and apprentices alike. As we continue to grow, we'll keep investing in apprenticeships to create opportunities, develop skills and build the next generation of talent within our industry."

Looking Ahead

Being ranked 31st nationally is an achievement we're incredibly proud of, but it's also motivation to keep raising the bar.

As First in Service continues to grow, we'll continue investing in apprenticeships across our engineering and business support teams, creating opportunities for talented people to develop rewarding careers while strengthening the skills that support our customers across the UK.

Developing people isn't just part of our recruitment strategy - it's part of who we are.
