Members of the First in Service team stepped well outside their comfort zone this week by taking part in the ExtraCare Charitable Trust Fire Walk 2026, helping to raise money for older people living with care, dementia and wellbeing support needs.

ExtraCare is one of First in Service's valued customers, and we're proud to provide a full Facilities Management service across a number of their locations. Supporting this fundraising event was a fantastic opportunity to strengthen our partnership while giving back to a charity that makes such a positive difference to people's lives.
The event brought together 37 walkers from a range of organisations, all taking on the challenge of walking barefoot across hot coals in support of an incredible cause.

It was an unforgettable evening, with participants showing plenty of courage while raising funds that will make a real difference. So far, the event has raised more than £5,700, with donations continuing to come in.
We're incredibly proud of everyone from First in Service who took part and would like to thank the ExtraCare Charitable Trust team for organising such a fantastic event.

If you'd like to support the fundraiser, there's still time to donate via our JustGiving page:

We look forward to continuing our partnership with ExtraCare, both through the facilities management services we provide and by supporting future fundraising initiatives that make a real difference to the communities they serve.
