Having successfully retained our existing Gas & Plumbing and HVAC maintenance areas, we have also secured additional regional coverage as part of the renewal. This increases our responsibility from 174 sites across four postcode areas to 389 sites across eleven postcode areas, demonstrating the confidence Marston's continues to place in our team and the service we deliver.
The expanded contract covers a wide range of planned and reactive commercial maintenance services, including:
- Commercial boilers
- Gas and plumbing
- Air conditioning
- Kitchen extract and ventilation systems
- Air handling units
- Minor plumbing works
- Water risk assessments
Our relationship with Marston's began after their previous contractor entered administration. Having previously completed water risk assessment works for the business, we were invited to support them with a larger maintenance contract covering 174 sites.
Over the past few years, that relationship has grown through consistently delivering high-quality service, maintaining clear communication and building trust with the Marston's team. This latest renewal reflects the strength of that partnership and the confidence they have in First in Service to support even more of their estate.
At First in Service, our specialist teams provide nationwide commercial maintenance across catering equipment, gas & plumbing, HVAC, mechanical ventilation, commercial cleaning and facilities management. Every customer benefits from a dedicated account management team backed by our 24/7 helpdesk and directly employed engineers, ensuring fast response times, clear communication and consistent service delivery.
This achievement reflects the hard work and professionalism of colleagues across the business.
From our engineers delivering exceptional service on site, to our office teams coordinating works and supporting customers, every department has played a part in strengthening our relationship with Marston's.
Commenting on the renewal, Jon Stanaway, National Account Manager said:
"This is a brilliant achievement and a reflection of the hard work, commitment and professionalism shown by everyone involved. Marston's have seen the value we bring and have chosen to invest even more confidence in our team by increasing our responsibilities.
Winning new business is always exciting, but keeping a valued client and growing the relationship at the same time is something worth celebrating. It shows that what we are doing is working and that we are delivering great service.
I wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who has played a part in making this happen."
The partnership has also been recognised by Joanne Cooper, Compliance Contract Manager at Marston's, who recently said:
"They have taken the time to understand our needs as a client, building a clear picture of our assets and using their technical knowledge and experience to provide effective solutions whenever problems arise.
What we value most is their consistent approach to every job, treating each one as important from start to finish rather than focusing purely on SLAs or quick fixes. Having a dedicated account manager ensures our contract requirements and expectations are always met, supported by strong internal coordination and the expertise and coverage of their engineers to deliver great results every time."
The renewal and expansion of our Marston's contract is another important milestone for First in Service. Increasing our coverage from 174 to 389 sites demonstrates the trust we've built through consistently delivering reliable, high-quality commercial maintenance services.
As we continue to invest in our people, systems and nationwide coverage, we look forward to strengthening our partnership with Marston's over the next three years and continuing to provide the responsive, dependable service their teams rely on every day.
